Traveling on the Island of the Gods is not only about the beauty of its beaches and vast terraced rice fields; Bali also offers stunning waterfall destinations that are equally captivating. There are more than 20 waterfall attractions spread across the island of Bali, and one of the most notable is Aling-Aling Waterfall.

Aling-Aling Waterfall is located on Jalan Raya Desa Sambangan, Sukasada, Buleleng Regency, Bali. The travel time from I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport is approximately three to four hours. The location is relatively close to the city center of Singaraja. Before entering Singaraja, visitors will come across a three-way intersection with a road sign pointing left toward Sukasada Terminal. Turn left and follow the road until reaching the intersection in front of the Sambangan Village Hall. There, visitors will find a signboard reading “Aling-Aling Waterfall.” Follow the direction for about two kilometers to the parking area of the Aling-Aling Waterfall tourist site. From this point, the journey continues on foot, allowing visitors to enjoy a trekking experience to reach the waterfall area.

Aling-Aling Waterfall is one of the most popular destinations after Sekumpul Waterfall. With an entrance fee of IDR 10,000 (USD 1) without a guide or IDR 100,000 (USD 10) with a guide, visitors are rewarded with refreshing natural scenery. Lush green trees lining the tall cliffs, the sound of insects echoing through the forest, and the powerful flow of water create a serene and soothing atmosphere.

With the assistance of a guide, visitors are taken around the Aling-Aling Waterfall area, which consists of four waterfalls within one location: Aling-Aling Waterfall, Kroya Waterfall, Twin Waterfall, and Pucuk Waterfall. The first stop is Kroya Waterfall, where visitors are allowed to jump and swim. Near the waterfall, signs displayed on trees read: “Never Try, Never Know,” “Show Your Courage,” “Test Your Adrenaline,” and “Light on Your Spirit.” These messages encourage visitors to experience the thrill of jumping into the water.

The second stop features Twin Waterfall and Pucuk Waterfall. Similar to Kroya Waterfall, visitors are permitted to jump and swim at both locations. The difference lies in their height, as Twin Waterfall and Pucuk Waterfall are higher than Kroya Waterfall.

After enjoying the scenery and watching other visitors jump, the guide then leads the way to Aling-Aling Waterfall itself, which requires approximately a 15-minute walk from the other three waterfalls. As visitors climb the final steps and follow the designated path, the sound of roaring water and the sight of towering cliffs increase the excitement of approaching the source of the sound. Aling-Aling Waterfall stands about 35 meters high, with a strong water flow and a pool approximately four meters deep. Jumping is not permitted at Aling-Aling Waterfall; visitors are only allowed to soak and swim.

The breathtaking views offered by Aling-Aling Waterfall, Kroya Waterfall, Twin Waterfall, and Pucuk Waterfall leave visitors feeling refreshed and reenergized, ready to return to their activities with renewed enthusiasm.
