Ministry Of Transportation Target To Reduce the Greenhouse Gas Emissions

Mangupura - In the framework of the RAN-GRK (National Action Plan Decrease Greenhouse Gases)implementation, Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) held a Program Workshop of Eco-Airport and Emissions Reduction in the Airport. Activities carried out began on 5 - 6 September 2016 in Japan Meeting Room, Building Wisti Sabha, Branch of I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport. The workshop was opened by Putu Puja S., Co General Manager I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, which also host of the event.

Eco-Airport program is as one of the important programs in the action plan in greenhouse gas emissions reduction in aviation sector. "Reducing the emissions of air pollutants and greenhouse gases is a top priority in the concept of Eco-Airport," said Puja.

To fulfill and implement what has been a policy and strategy in order to decrease greenhouse gas emissions aviation sector, of course, require the support also of stakeholder flights in Indonesia, in this case the airline, airport operators, ground handling and the parties engaged in the sector flight, also participated became the central figure in efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions of the aviation sector.

This event was attended by the Ministry of Transportation, Airport Authority, ICAO, ACI, PT. Angkasa Pura I (Persero), PT. Angkasa Pura II (Persero) as well as stakeholders in Indonesia flights. The speakers in this workshop, Caesar of ICAO, Matsuda of JICA Expert, Ken Lau of ACI, Rizal from DGCA, Subakir of PT. Angkasa Pura I (Persero) and Eko Wahyudi from PT. Angkasa Pura II (Persero).
