Mangupura, June 10, 2025 – PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia, I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport Branch, recorded positive performance during the long Idul Adha holiday weekend. Between June 5–9, a total of 344,554 passengers were served. This figure was 1.5 percent higher than the projected traffic of 339,523 passengers.

Passenger traffic during the Idul Adha long weekend period consisted of 119,775 domestic passengers and 224,779 international passengers. The number of arriving passengers was higher compared to departing passengers, with 61,672 domestic arrivals and 114,322 international arrivals, bringing the total number of arrivals to 175,994 passengers, or 51 percent of the overall total. The highest number of arrivals was recorded on Friday, June 6, 2025, with 38,922 passengers (domestic and international combined).

Meanwhile, outbound traffic peaked on Monday, June 9, 2025, which also marked the return flow, reaching 37,883 passengers. On the same day, the airport also recorded the highest overall passenger traffic during the five-day period, with a total of 72,875 passengers, both domestic and international.

Acting General Manager of I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Wahyudi, stated that long weekends consistently contribute to higher passenger traffic at the airport.

“We have observed that long weekends positively impact passenger growth. Compared to the same period in 2024, when we served 321,596 passengers, this year from June 5–9 we served more than 344,000 passengers, representing a 7 percent increase. The same trend is also seen in aircraft movements, which rose from 1,860 last year to 2,020 this year, an **8 percent increase,” Wahyudi explained.

He further added that this growth in passenger and flight movements will serve as valuable input for future evaluations, especially with the upcoming school holiday season, when Bali is expected to welcome even more visitors.

“We are grateful that despite the increase in passenger and aircraft volume, airport operations remained smooth and well-managed overall. Moving forward, we will continue to optimize planning and service management to ensure that all airport users receive the highest standard of service,” he concluded.
