kembali ke listMangupura, October 12, 2025 I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport – Bali, managed by PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (InJourney Airports), has recorded positive growth throughout the period of January to September 2025. According to traffic data, total passenger movements reached 18,231,771, marking a 1 percent increase compared to the same period in 2024, which recorded 17,987,515 passengers.
Of the total number, 11,537,703 passengers (63 percent) were on international routes, while 6,694,068 passengers (37 percent) were on domestic routes. This composition indicates that Bali continues to be a leading destination for international travelers while maintaining strong movement in the domestic market. In terms of flight operations, by the third quarter of 2025, Ngurah Rai Airport recorded 106,942 aircraft movements, consisting of 58,485 international flights (55 percent) serving 36 foreign cities, and 48,457 domestic flights (45 percent) serving 21 cities across Indonesia. Compared to the same period last year, which recorded 105,979 movements, flight traffic also grew by 1 percent.
In line with the growth in passenger and flight numbers, foreign tourist arrivals to Bali also showed a positive trend. As of September 2025, there were 5,460,288 international visitor arrivals, reflecting a 12 percent increase compared to the same period in 2024, which saw 4,887,166 arrivals. General Manager of I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Ahmad Syaugi Shahab, explained, “In addition to the 1 percent increase in passenger and aircraft movements, positive growth was also reflected in air cargo performance. In this third quarter, we handled 78 thousand tons of cargo, a 9 percent increase compared to 72 thousand tons recorded in 2024,” said Syaugi.
He further stated that 70 percent of the total cargo, or 55 thousand tons, consisted of international shipments, indicating the strength of export-import activity through Bali. The remaining 30 percent, or 23 thousand tons, were domestic cargo movements. “This consistent growth is the result of collaboration among all airport stakeholders. We sincerely appreciate the synergy and cooperation of all parties in maintaining service quality at the airport, and we will continue to ensure that our operations and service standards remain excellent,” he added.
