EVERY JOURNEY IS MAGIC: BALI AIRPORT CELEBRATES HALLOWEEN IN STYLE

Mangupura, October 31, 2024 – Several areas of I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport looked different on Thursday (31/10). Distinctive Halloween-themed decorations such as orange Jack-o’-lanterns could be spotted in both the domestic and international departure areas. Adding to the festive atmosphere, dancers in spooky face paint and traditional Mexican costumes complete with wide-brimmed sombreros performed in the middle of the waiting area, drawing enthusiastic responses from passengers awaiting their flights.

General Manager of I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Ahmad Syaugi Shahab, explained that the Halloween decorations and attractions presented by PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia were designed to give passengers a memorable travel experience. Under the theme Magical Journey, passengers were invited to join the excitement of Halloween through various activities and entertainment.

In addition to themed decorations, passengers were treated to a range of activities to pass the time at the terminal, including face painting, hair braid art, tarot reading, photo booths, and a magical parade featuring Halloween-inspired dances. All activities were available to passengers from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time.

“We want every passenger’s journey through I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport to be more meaningful and memorable. To achieve this, we take advantage of special moments like Halloween by creating unique experiences stories and memories they can share with family and friends,” said Ahmad Syaugi Shahab.

He further explained that this initiative is part of the airport’s transformation program to deliver value excellence to passengers. “Our aim is to provide iconic, personalized services that go beyond expectations,” he added.

The celebration was not limited to performers tenant staff also joined the fun, donning spooky character costumes. Far from being scared, passengers were delighted and eagerly captured Halloween moments at the airport.

Dandy, a tourist from Australia traveling with his two daughters, admitted that the Halloween vibe at the airport was very impressive. He and his family tried face painting, tarot reading, and the photo booth. “At first, we didn’t realize today was Halloween, but as soon as we arrived at the airport, the atmosphere was unmistakable with the decorations and performances. It was impressive and made the waiting time for our flight fly by,” he shared.
